This July, connect with queer + trans Koreans during the NQAPIA conference in San Francisco! Looking for more ways to connect with community after the Korean Queer & Trans Conference (KQTcon)? Or maybe you missed the NYC convening in April? Here’s another chance to get your KQT fix!
On July 26-29, NQAPIA is hosting the Growing Home conference in San Francisco for 400 LGBTQ Asians and Pacific Islanders from all over the U.S. NQAPIA’s national gathering will give LGBTQ Koreans another chance to meet, organize, and build community!
Guess what? We have THREE events just for YOU:
“Building Korean Queer & Trans Community after KQTcon” Conference panel where we’ll share highlights of KQTcon, lessons learned, and highlight community work spurred by the conference
Conference caucus for LGBTQ Koreans to meet and network in a safe space at the conference. When: Fri, July 27 Time: 4:15-5:45 pm
Sam Cha community reception for LGBTQ Koreans (Facebook) to mingle with local Bay Area folx, hosted outside the conference so registration is not needed! The event will be free or low-cost/NOTA. When: Fri, July 27 Time: 6:00-8:30 pm Where: General Assembly, 225 Bush St, San Francisco, CA 94104
Stay tuned for updates on all these events on the blog and by signing up for our mailing list. To attend Growing Home: NQAPIA Conference 2018, register at the link below. NQAPIA is offering financial assistance for registration and travel costs, as well as community housing, based on need, so please apply. And even if you don’t attend the conference, please come to our Sam Cha reception!
We’re excited to connect with queer and trans Koreans again, just four months after KQTcon and on the West Coast. See you in San Francisco!
